Description

We offer for your consideration this unusual Dragon light fixture.
This very nice light fixture was fortunately salvaged from an old Los Angeles club
called the GASLIGHT, a popular club that began in 1963.
In the 1970s, as a disco gained in popularity, this club became Osko's Disco
The building that housed these two popular night clubs was demolished in the late 1980s.
So this light fixture is a little bit of Los Angeles night club history.
The fixture is made up of seperate cast bronze pieces that make up the four winged, and horned Dragons. The dragons have a ring in each of their mouths that attaches to the suspended cups that the globes would attach to.
The lamp fixture came to us without the globes.
Globes with a throat
diameter
of 2 1/4 inches should be used as replacement
The metal used is bronze, and it appears as though there was a luster applied to the finish that gives the less dusty parts of the figures an iridescence, like a mother of pearl effect.
You may be able to see this iridescence in the pictures ?
This lamp fixture weighs approximately 30 pounds,
and it is
approximately 20 inches tall (not including mount tube),
It is approximately 19 inches from
wingtip
to wingtip.
If you have a flair for the Gothic, for the rare and
unusual, and some might say historical, this beautiful Dragon lamp fixture is for you.
