Our Voyager replacement battery is solidly-built.  Certain battery suppliers sell Voyager replacement batteries that are poorly-constructed and are held together ONLY by thin shrink wrap.

Q.
What is the recommended charge procedure for your replacement Voyager Lift batteries?
A.
The best advice I can give is to keep the batteries charged when not using them.  I recommend having two (2) batteries and to recharge the batteries after use, either in a day or after each use as this will mitigate the depth of discharge and lend to higher cycling capability.  The way to work in the second battery is to rotate the batteries either weekly, biweekly or monthly – whatever is most convenient and easy to track.  The thing to note on this rotation is the batteries need to be set aside fully charged.  Lead acid will give you the longest life when kept charged and the technology used in these batteries will retain their charge for about 3-6 months before needing recharge depending on the storage temperature.  In home environments, I would advise a monthly rotation to be the longest as warmer temps allow shorter storage time of the batteries.
Q.
How long will your replacement Voyager Lift batteries last?
A.
In an attempt to keep this in lay terms, your application is very much usage-based and could see the batteries consumed more quickly with a higher use.  The type of batteries used in the Voyager Lift can only cycle 150-200 times at 100% depth of discharge and can be consumed in less than a year depending on use.

My battery is about 2 years old and seems to be taking longer to charge, and doesn't do quite as many lifts before the lift beeps that the battery is low.

The longer time for recharge and quicker for the lift to beep with low battery both correlate to the battery coming towards it’s end of life and you should be planning on replacing soon.

Warranty
Hutchison Medical offers a six (6) month limited warranty on this battery.  This product is warranted to be free of defects in workmanship and product performance.  This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser/user and is therefore non transferable.  Hutchison Medical has the right to determine valid claims based on the individual circumstances of each claim.  Warranty claims will be denied should evidence of the following be determined:
Accident, any physical shock such as dropping, misuse, abuse, negligence, improper application, or alteration, by a force majeure occurrence

Return Policy: This product does requires a twenty-percent (20%) restocking fee for returns.  Buyer must pay for return shipping.  Batteries must be in their original packaging and meet the following conditions:
Product must be in new condition.  For example, no cracks, scratches, unclean or any indications of usage.
A Return Merchandise Authorization must be requested from Hutchison Medical within 30 days of delivery of the product.  Once an RMA has been received, products must be returned within 14 days
