.  Taken by local fishermen with tangle nets, at 150meters, Bohol Island, the Philippines, 2020.  You know, I'm old.  I mean, really, I can remember when there was only 26 of these shells in the entire world.  I also can remember that while visiting the Philippines as a kid (thirteen at the time?) a photo was taken of me holding TWO

article...  Then the day came when we heard that someone

in the Solomons had found half dozen, that 's right, half a dozen!  And he KEPT ON finding half a dozen

As for normal disclaimers, we do the best we can with photos, but color is tricky, especially since cell phone cameras automatically lean towards flesh-tone coloring, (that's why so many of the photos of shells on eBay show up with more orange than is really there, the camera changes the color, and damm if I can figure out how to stop that from happening, but I try, honest!
