.  Collected by diver in 15 feet of water in the sand under a small rock, Madagascar, 2020.  You know, shell collecting is just one great memory after another.  I remember just gliding with the current while snorkeling in the very shallow waters of Ala Moana reef, and suddenly I had swept over the largest pennaceus cone I had ever seen, 74.6mm.  I've got it here in front of me, sitting there on the shelf above my desk, and I have to believe that the person who found this beauty felt the same way I did when I found that shell---I stood up and cheered, which, with a snorkel in my mouth was rather awkward, but you get the idea---it was a
terrific
feeling.
.  Now then, the diver that found this beauty wasn't able to stand up and cheer, but I'm sure he wanted to, because it also is an
awesome
shell.  For as the photos show, this
very
near-GEM beauty, a dark, cocoa-colored shell with delicate bands of tent-markings, an intact spire and a fine lip, is an exceptional shell that will look
fantastic
sitting on your shelf!

As for normal disclaimers, we do the best we can with photos, but color is tricky, especially since cell phone cameras automatically lean towards flesh-tone coloring, (that's why so many of the photos of shells on eBay show up with more orange than is really there, the camera changes the color, and damm if I can figure out how to stop that from happening, but I try, honest!
